The BrmmBrmm Motoring Guide to Leeds
Leeds is a city in the Aire Valley in the eastern foothills of the Pennines in West Yorkshire and is one of the country’s fastest growing cities. It has undergone major changes in recent years as it rises to meet new challenges, but has managed to hold onto its Northern grit character, as the smoke blackened mills and buildings have been revitalised.
The city is booming as a commercial, financial and cultural centre and is a great example of new and old coming together; as new developments appear overlooking the River Aire, and the Corn Exchange and Victorian arcades have been given a new lease of life, being restored to their former spendour and now filled with shops. Outside of London, Leeds is the UK’s largest centre for business, financial and legal services, and is considered to be one of the World’s Gamma Cities alongside Phoenix, St Petersburg and Valencia.
Leeds is one of the key hubs of the northern motorway network as well as being the starting point of a number of A roads, which makes it a very easy city to get to. So, what are you waiting for?
