The land locked metropolitan county of West Yorkshire is well worth a visit. Found in the Yorkshire and Humber region of England, it has a population of over 2 million and is made up of five metropolitan boroughs – The City of Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, The City of Leeds and The City of Wakefield, it is bordered with Derbyshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, North and South Yorkshire.
Famous for being home to the Bronte sisters and the backdrop to the long running comedy, Last of the Summer Wine, West Yorkshire has stunning scenery that we are all familiar with in some ways regardles of whether we have ever been to the area in person.
West Yorkshire has the M62, M1 and A1(M) all passing through it making it such an easy county to reach.
