Hello and welcome to my first edition of BrmmBrmm News and the last for 2011. My name is Becky and I am the new administrator for BrmmBrmm and I am very excited to be here. I look forward to hearing your news and seeing your photos over the coming months. With winter fast approaching and Christmas just round the corner, it would be great to see your pictures of your Classic Car Club Christmas Do’s, and I promise to try and feature them in the January 2012 edition of BrmmBrmm News.
As this is my first edition, I thought I would share with you a picture of my old Eunos Roadster. A modern Classic from 1992 and for those that are wondering it was not an original yellow, but, whoever re-sprayed it included glitter in the paint so it sparkled in the sunshine! I can hear some of you shouting at the computer at that however, it sparked an interest of Classics in me and I promise you this – it will not be my last Classic Car, but oh, what should I choose next?
It would be unforgivable of me not to include a mention of the recent Goodwood Revival and here is a fantastic photo of the day. Over 138,000 motor sport enthusiasts attended the sell out event over the weekend of 16-18th September. On the track a tribute to the legendary racing driver Juan Manuel Fangio saw a grid of rare and stunning cars associated with his career, including three Mercedes-Benz racers, plus two Chevrolets brought over from Argentina specifically for the Revival. Goodwood also staged its largest ever Revival vehicle parade with 100 British-built Fords lapping the circuit. The variety and quality of motor racing machines was exceptional throughout the weekend, with many nail-biting races and plenty of thrills – plus a few spills - along the way. If you would like full details of the event please go to http://www.goodwood.co.uk/revival/news-and-coverage/articles/thesellout2011goodwoodrevival.aspx
