BB News May - June 2012
BB News is the bulletin board of the BrmmBrmm Classic Network. If your club would like to use this space to raise awareness of a club event or item of interest, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We're in early summer and the weather has certainly been keeping us on our toes! I hope you have not all been blown or washed away. Here on the West Coast of Cumbria I've been very lucky with many bright, warm and sunny days – long may it continue!
BrmmBrmm Club Trophy 2012
In the last edition of BB news I announced a new initiative to encourage more club involvement with BrmmBrmm and BB News - I'd much rather share news and promote the activities of our club members than report general classic news. We have had only a limited response to our new game though. Have I made it too hard? Anyway, to give you a little more time, we will run the first challenge for another couple of months and see how it goes – here is a reminder: For your chance to win this trophy, all you need to do is play the BrmmBrmm version of “I-spy” – it’s that simple! With each edition of the newsletter I will select 3 Classic Cars and all you need to do is to spot them and take a picture (preferably with you alongside it) and send it to me at email@example.com or, submit it to your club gallery for consideration for the Photo of the Week.
For each picture sent in, 1 point will be awarded, although I do need to restrict it to 1 photo per car per club I’m afraid. I will keep a tally of the points awarded to each club and will select a photo to include on each edition of BB News. At the end of the year we will send the afore mentioned highly sought after BrmmBrmm trophy along with a certificate to the winning club in time for Christmas, and will also include a special feature of the club in the New Year News.
The cars to spot over the next 2 months are:
Tamar Valley MG Owners Club 30 years old this year
This picture, submitted by the Tamar Valley MG Owners Club is of some of their members taken on March 25th outside the mine at Carnglaze Caverns at St Neots in Cornwall, after their Club Sunday Lunch. The Club is 30 years old this year and this is the branch of the MG Owners Club for the Plymouth area, covering South Devon and South East Cornwall. They meet on the first Wednesday of the month at The Moorland Garden Hotel in Yelverton, PL20 6DA at 8pm.
So if you live in Plymouth or the surrounding area, why not go along and make some new friends. All MG enthusiasts are welcome, with or without an MG! For more info contact: Keith Halsey & Sally Alexander (Club Secretary) e-mail:- firstname.lastname@example.org
