The Maxey Classic Car Club was set up by Mick Stott and Keith Elliott after they noticed a prolific number of classic and thoroughbred cars in Maxey and surrounding district. Although there have not been any club meetings so far there was a very successful car show last year. Entries included classic cars, thoroughbreds, motor cycles and military vehicles. The weather was good for the show and there was a live band, BBQ, Bouncy Castle plus motor parts and memorabilia stands. It was a great day and all the proceeds went to local childrens charity and McMillan Nurses. This year we are hoping to attract large numbers once again and will be trying to make it a larger and more fun event. The judging for the show will be by John Pearson, editor of Classic Car Magazine. Entry is free for competitors and one pound for all other adults (children free). Please phone 01778-348606 for more details.
