Isle of Wight Austins was formed in February 1996, when a small group of like minded enthusiasts met up one Sunday morning in Sandown. Since those days the membership has gone from strength to strength, and each year we gain new members. The group is run on an informal basis for people on the Island who have an interest in the pre 1940 Austin Seven motorcar and it's derivatives, together with other post war models, commercial vehicles and other equipment built under the Austin name. This interest also covers vehicles made under licence from Austin. At present we have 70 members, some of whom own more than one Austin. Amazingly there are some 95 Austins on the Island, in various states of preservation! | |
