The 'Le Chateau Challenge' (20th and 21st September 2002) is not limited to any type of vehicle, but is open to vintage, classic and modern sports cars. Last year they ranged from a 1930's Rolls Royce to a modern MG. The 'competition' format is devided so that all cars compete against each other on a 'level playing field' - but we also have distinct classes as well as 'best' over all. The competition details are outlined in 'event' section of these web pages ENTRY IS £40 PER CAR (driver and navigator) with each car being asked to raise aminimum of £500 towards their local Marie Curie Nursing Sevice. Entry covers three wine tastings and three tours of chateau, the end of event function meal as well as 'rally plaques' and log book. We also award a fundraising certificate to all those who take part. Marie Curie Cancer Care organise the event directly, and have a small team in France to facilitate the event. Entrants need to have their own recovery and medical insurance before leaving the UK as well as a minimum of 6 months left on their passports. | |
