BMC J2/152 Register

We are concerned by the apparent rarity of the Morris J2/ Austin 152 Light Commercial Range, We decided to set up this Register to try and keep a record of the Survivors, And to organise some sort of spares system, There is no Membership fee, Anyone who either owns or knows of any J2/ 152s, may contact us with details, these are logged on to a Data-base, Also if you are after Spares, Have Spares to sell, or know the where-abouts of spares, We would be gratefull to hear from you.
At present We have about 100 J2/ 152s listed, in various states of repair, Most being Motorcaravans, We own a 1963 Austin Paralanaian Coachbuilt Motorcaravan, and A 1956 Morris Ambulance, Ex Bristol City Marine Ambulance Corps, This is the oldest recorded J2. The Rarest J2 of them all, and a 1958 morris pick-up fitted with a wooden body, converted by us into a Breakdown Truck and finished in BMC Livery, We also are custodians to Securicor Ltd,s 1961 Austin Axe proof Cash delivery Van.
The J2 Range of light Commercials were BMCs first Unitary constructed Forward control Commercial, Designed by Morris, Production Started in Late 1956, Though we know of only 1 1956 example, and finnished about 1967 after about 120 000 were built, the early models were fitted with a 1489 cc "B" Series engine and had Columb Gear change, this was replaced by the "M16" model which was fitted with a larger 1622cc engine with Floor Change, Mechanically they used many Bmc Parts, And were a pioneer of this type of vehicle, Copied by Rootes with their Commer PA/ PB & Dodge Spacevan, The Commer proved to be more sucessful probably down to keen Pricing, But to us the BMC J2 was the original.
We have developed and produced a range of repair panels for the J2 range, We hope to expand this as time goes on,
